Hi, remember me?

Well, I'm Carol Dean Sharpe and I'm still busy running Sand Fibers, beading and designing and marketing.  What I seem to have forgotten to do these last two and half months, however, is blog.  I apologize! How it is that this blog still averages over 100 page views a day is a mystery. (Or a miracle, perhaps?)

First things first:  I am having a Happy Valentine's Day/Celebrate 8 Years on Etsy sale.  Between now and March 1, use the coupon code 8YEARS to receive a 40% discount at checkout.  And, yes, the 3 for 2 Pattern Program is still in effect during this time.

Second things second:  I am also having a giveaway to celebrate.  On March 1, I will draw a name from the comments left on this post and the winner will receive my Whole Lotta Love #4 bangle. No, not a pattern for the bangle, the bangle itself. lol

To enter the drawing, all you need to do is leave a comment below with the title of your favorite love story (book, movie, tv series). It would be extra fun if you shared why it's your favorite love story, but not required.  It would also be excellent if you were to share this blog post on Facebook, twitter, or whatever other social media you use, but that is also not required. Only one entry per person, please.

Third things third:  If you haven't been in the Sand Fibers store since I last blogged, here are the new patterns I've published.

 Air and Water pattern

And that's all for now, so ... Be well and get going! :)

  1. Hello Carol, my favorite love story is actually several love stories in one movie "Love actually". This movie for me is a delight. I find it difficult to explain why I love it so much, I just do, from beginning to end, this movie is pure enchantment to me. Side note: sorry if I made mistakes, English is a second language for me. Second side note: I love your work, you are an inspiration. Happy 8th anniversary :)

  4. My favorite love story is "Bridges of Madison County". After my hubby read the book, he decided to contact me (after 2 1/2 years). We had met on an airplane 3 years earlier but had lost contact. To make a long story short, we will celebrate 20 years together next month. My life really is an ongoing love story!

  5. Pretty in Pink, the 80's movie. I love the music, the 80's vibe and how the main characters are unique and dance to their own music.

  6. I don't really have a favorite...I'm mostly stuck on paranormal stories right now. Most of them involve a love story with weird characters!

I've missed your posts, but didn't remember until you mentioned that you have been gone! How terrible is that!

  10. I think my fav love story would be Wuthering Heights (The Book) By Emily Bronte'. I think I still have a copy of it somewhere, I have to dig t out and read it again lol. What I love about the story is their resilience to all huddles they had to overcome to be together, I guess in a sense it is a reminder that Love is not all (or always) rosy.

  21. AAaahhh how can you be forgotten? NOT!! Glad to see you back. I really do love this piece. when you asked the question of a favorite love story there was no question for me. "Love Story" 1970 staring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal. OK so maybe this is dating me a bit but the book and then the movie is outstanding.

  23. My favorite love story is When Harry Met Sally. I could watch that movie a million times. It's exactly the right mix of humor, heartache and happy ending. And so many good quotes. And, my sister orders just like Sally, everything on the side. I tease her every time.

  24. Dying of the Light by George R.R. Martin. It's not your typical love story though love is involved but it really made me think. It's got everything that makes up a good tale, love, honour, fantasy, adventure. After all these years it just popped intomy mind as I thought about your question. I'm going to go dig it up from the bookshelf right now and read it again!
